AC MILAN 2-1 FIORENTINA : Leao 63’, 86’ o.p – Goosens 55’

Without their talismanic winger Christian Pulisic, AC Milan struggled to find dynamism against a Fiorentina side still chasing their first win of the season. Yet the Rossoneri managed to overturn the deficit thanks to a brace from Rafael Leão.
The first half can be summed up in one stat: zero shots on target. Both teams left their intentions in the dressing room, producing a forgettable 45 minutes. As often with Milan, they waited — and then reacted. After Robin Gosens put the Viola ahead, Leão equalized with a stunning strike from outside the box.
The tactical adjustment brought by the introduction of Giménez gave Milan more attacking intent, and it showed in their aggressive push for a winner. After a spectacular save from De Gea denied Ricci, Giménez was struck in the face by a Fiorentina defender. Following a VAR review, Milan were awarded a penalty — calmly converted by Leão to complete his double.
Final score: 2–1. With Juventus losing to Como, Napoli falling to Torino, and Roma defeated by Inter, AC Milan climb back to the top of Serie A.
