Italy 1-4 Norway
Francesco Pio Esposito 11′ for Italy. Antonio Nusa 63′, Erling Haaland 78′ and 79′ and Jorgen Larsen 90+3′ for Norway.

For this Group I match in the World Cup qualifiers in the Europe Zone between Italy and Norway, Haaland and his teammates realized once again a superb performance as they made a brilliant come back.
Italy needed a 10-0 win to qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup as they were just behind their opponents of the day. Norway’s attack was absolutely insane the whole qualifications, scoring 37 goals in 8 games. But during the first half the italians created the impossible : conceding 0 goal against Norway and they were even in front as Esposito scored at the 11′ minute.
But in the second half Norway’s magic came back as Antonio Nusa equalized at the 63′ minute, Norway found the solutions they were not able to find in the first half. Haaland scored 2 goals in 2 minutes at the 78′ and 79′. Larsen ended Italy’s nightmare in extra time to make it 4-1.
Even if it was already a certainty, Norway are now officially qualified for the 2026 World Cup. Their first since 1998. Italy will have to go through the play-offs once again.
