The Ukraine U23 national team plays in FIFA and confederation competitions.
Overview
The Ukraine U23 national football team represents Ukraine in international competitions restricted to players aged 23 and under, including the UEFA European Under-21 Championship and Olympic qualifying tournaments. The team is administered by the Football Federation of Ukraine and draws its players primarily from the domestic league as well as clubs across Europe where Ukrainian players are active. It serves as a developmental pathway between youth football and the senior national side.
The squad has not claimed major titles at this level, though it has produced players who have gone on to represent the senior team. Current players associated with the squad include K. Fesyun, H. Ermakov, I. Krupskyi, O. Martynyuk, V. Salyuk and O. Sych. These players reflect the ongoing effort to develop competitive depth within Ukrainian football at the under-23 level.
Ukraine's football infrastructure continues to identify and promote young talent despite the considerable difficulties the country has faced in recent years.
