FC Barcelona cruised to a dominant victory over Getafe, playing with style and barely breaking a sweat in what turned out to be a comfortable match for the Catalans.
FC BARCELONA 3-0 GETAFE
Torres 15’, 34’ Olmo 62’
It was the perfect week for Barça: three games, three wins. After demolishing Valencia and then beating Newcastle in the Champions League, the Blaugrana finished the stretch by brushing aside Getafe in their fifth La Liga fixture of the season. With Real Madrid setting a blistering pace at the top, five wins in five Barcelona knew they had to respond. Against a notoriously stubborn opponent like Getafe, the game could have turned tricky. But Barça quickly took control of the tempo.
Ferran Torres opened the scoring, capping off a brilliant three-man sequence. Raphinha played a quick ball into Olmo, who flicked it deftly with his heel into Torres’s path. The forward had little to do but finish the move. After that display of finesse, sheer speed brought Barcelona’s second goal. Again released by a sharp Raphinha pass, Torres sprinted clear and clinically doubled the lead.

Getafe looked overwhelmed, their frustration clear in the numbers: 16 fouls and five yellow cards. Barcelona could have easily stretched the margin if not for Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha wasting chances in front of goal. Raphinha, replaced at halftime by Marcus Rashford, watched the English winger wreak havoc on the flank. With acceleration, tricks, and body feints, Rashford proved a constant menace. One of his bursts ended with a cutback for Dani Olmo, who calmly slotted home the third.
No Lamine Yamal? No problem. This Barcelona has plenty of weapons to choose from this season.
