After their clinical 3-0 win against Fiorentina, Inter needed another win to stay focus on their target of winning Serie A. It is things done with a narrow 2-1 victory over a fighful Hellas Verona side.

It started well for Cristian Chivu’s players after a banger scored by Polish Piotr Zielinski at the 16′ minute. Unfortunatley for them, Hellas Verona showed their qualities and scored at the 40′ minute to equalize, 1-1 at the break.

In the second half, Inter dominated the game but were not able to pass Hellas’ defense despite 12 shots made in the last 45 minutes of the game. They were saved by an own goal at the very last minute of the game. This 3 points taken at the end showed that Inter Milan are fighting until the last minute and they proved their good season so far.

With this win, Inter are now 2nd in Serie A with 21 points just behind Napoli. Hellas Verona are 18th with 5 points.
