Arsenal and Manchester City are always offering to football fans entertainment and suspense, both teams are playing for the highest seats in Premier League and their match today proved us again why this clash is long awaited.

The battle between the student and the teacher (Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola) ended up in a draw in which Arsenal dominated statistically, Manchester City having only 33% ball possession seems unreal when we know Pep Guardiola’s playing style. Arsenal made more shots than Manchester City but they quickly fell behind at the scoreline.

Indeed after a brilliant countrattack, Erling Haaland made the run of his life, launched by Tijjani Reijnders and finished in front of Arsenal’s goalkeeper David Raya.

At the end of the first half, Arsenal had multiple chances but they were not clear enough to disrupt Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Eze offered Arsenal a good chance to equalize at the 50′ minute but Donnarumma was watchful. 5 minutes later the other goalkeeper of the game David Raya stopped a shot from Erling Haaland after a really fast counterattack once again, led by Jérémy Doku.

In one of Arsenal’s last chances, Eberechi Eze sent a deep lob pass to Gabriel Martinelli who once again lobed the ball perfectly to beat Donnarumma. 1-1 at the very end of the game.

With this draw, Manchester City stays 9th 3 points away from Arsenal who go up 2nd, 5 points behind Premier League leader Liverpool.
