The Colchoneros had a lot of opportunities to score, with club legend Antoine Griezmann at the 6′ minute but the French missed is one-one-one after a lob attempt. He was anyway offside. Alejandro Baena scored at the 11′ minute but the goal was disallowed after a foul.
Atletico continued to create chances but Osasuna’s keeper Sergio Herrera made the game of his life with 8 saves and a lot were decisives. Atletico had to wait the 69′ minute to finally see a goal. Thiago Almada scored with the assist from Giuliano Simeone.
