After their defeat to PSG, Barcelona roared back to life — and Olympiakos were the unfortunate victims. The Catalans cruised to a 6–1 win at Montjuïc in a match marked by a controversial red card shown to Santiago Hezze.

Football often tells stories that the scoreline doesn’t. And that was certainly the case here — the six-goal margin did not reflect how competitive the match was early on. Until Hezze’s harsh sending off, Olympiakos had shown impressive resistance and even looked capable of mounting a comeback after Ayoub El Kaabi’s goal made it 2–1. The Greek side pressed high and effectively disrupted Barça’s buildup play, particularly with several key Blaugrana players missing from the lineup.

But that same pressing left gaps at the back — and Barcelona ruthlessly exploited them on the break. The first goal came from a rapid counterattack as Fermín López carried the ball the length of the pitch before feeding Lamine Yamal, who finished after a quick exchange of passes. The second showcased the vision of surprise starter Dro, whose perfect through ball found Fermín for the 2–0.

After Hezze’s red card, Yamal buried a penalty to put the game beyond reach. Marcus Rashford added a brace, and Fermín completed his hat trick to seal a night of total dominance.

With El Clásico against Real Madrid just days away, Barcelona look back on track — and full of confidence again.
