Barcelona had a real fear against Frankfurt, Hansi Flick’s players received the Germans in UEFA Champions League. And as seen in the previous link, Frankfurt managed to create a lot of concerns in Barcelona team.
The Germans opened the scoreline at the 21′ minute in Camp Nou with Knauff, causing widespread surprise in the stadium. Barcelona was not able to push for equalizing in the whole 1st half and at the break Frankfurt was still in front with their advantage of 1 goal.
But at the beginning of the second half, An unexpected hero showed off his talent and helped Barcelona come back and take the lead, allowing the entire stadium to celebrate the comeback. That hero was French defender Jules Kounde, who scored twice in three minutes (50′ and 53′).
Barcelona held on to their 2-1 lead until the end of the match, controlling their opponents after a difficult first half. The Barcelona team came through.
With this short but important win, Barcelona are now 14th in Champions League with 10 points. Frankfurt are 30th with 4 points.
