It was probably the most waited match of this 5th UEFA Champions League matchday. Arsenal and Bayern Munchen faced each other a lot in this competition and have created unforgettable memories over the years. This time, both teams were on an extraordinary run as they look as one of the favorites to win the trophy.

Without Havertz, Gyokeres and Gabriel, the Gunners managed to dominate the game even if the first half was really tight. Arsenal opened the scoreline in the best aspect of their game : free-kicks. Bukayo Saka delivered a great assist for Jurrien Timber’s header. Bayern Munchen equalized at the 32′ with 17 years old wonderkid Lennart Karl who scored his 4th goal this season.

Both teams created a couple of chances at the beginning of the second half but neither was able to score before Arsenal did so, at the 69′ minute with Noni Madueke, the Englishman scored after a cross from Calafiori.

Arsenal even scored a 3rd goal to secure their win, 12 minutes later, with a wonderful counterattack, Gabriel Martinelli heads for goal while goalkeeper Manuel Neuer completely misses the ball.

With this great win, Arsenal are now lone leaders in UEFA Champions League with 15 points, 5 wins in 5 games. Bayern Munchen are 3rd with 12 points.
