With its second or even third team, Manchester City beat easily Huddersfield (3rd English Division) for the count of the 3rd round of the EFL Cup. Pep Guardiola’s players were carry by Phil Foden among others.
Manchester City opened the scoreline pretty quickly (18′ minute) with a fabulous shot from Phil Foden with the assist from young striker Divine Mukasa. the English striker had an opportunity to score at the 53′ minute with a lob but Nicholls made a briliant save.
Huddersfield never really worried Manchester City (0 shot on target and 24% ball possession). Savinho scored the 2-0 goal at the 74′ minute after a brilliant team move, assist from Phil Foden.
Manchester City advances to the 4th round of the Cup. Arsenal and Tottenham also won their 3rd round EFL Cup game.
