After 2 losses in 3 Serie A games, Inter needed a win to prove to soccer world that it was not a crisis period, it is done with this short but nonetheless win against Sassuolo.

Cristian Chivu’s team started well with a brilliant move from defender Carlos Augusto who made a solitary rush but could not finish (7th minute).

Federico Dimarco scored the first goal for Inter Milan 7 minutes later with the assist from Petar Sucic. For the rest of the game, the Nerazzurris accumulated 20 shots but Sassuolo’s defense was tough, more especially their keeper from Kosovo, Arijanet Muric who made a total of 5 saves.

At the 81′ minute, Carlos Augusto made a great move worthy of a striker once again, his shot is deflected by Tarik Muharemovic who scored a frustrating own goal.

However, Sassuolo found the solution to disrupt Inter with a superb team move finished at the 84′ minute by Walid Cheddira with the assist from Sassuolo legend Domenico Berardi.

With this 2-1 win, Inter Milan climbs to 10th place with 6 points, 4 behind leader Juventus. Sassuolo stays 14th with only 1 win in 4 games.
