Inter wins 3 in a row after beating Cagliari

After a calm start in Serie A this season, Inter Milan needed to show the entire championship that they are still competing for the highest seats. After their 2-0 win against Ajax in Champions League and their 2-1 win against Sassuolo in Serie A, Cristian Chivu’s players continue their run by beating Cagliari 2-0 at the Unipol Domus Stadium.

At the 9th minute of play, Inter Milan already opens the scoring with a beautiful header from lautaro Martinez (second goal in Serie A this season) after a cross from Alessandro Bastoni. The rest of the first half was pretty calm, Inter had the chances but were never concrete enough.

Inter Milan’s plays were more dangerous at the beginning of the second half, with Hakan Calhanoglu hitting the post at the 53th minute and Marcus Thuram’s chance saved by Elia Caprile one minute later. At the 73′ minute, Cagliari finally had a chance to equalize after a header from Michael Folorunsho but he hit the post. 9 minutes later, Inter scored the 2-0 goal with Francesco Esposito who scored his first goal in Serie A for Inter.

With this second win in a row in Serie A, Inter Milan goes up to the 5th place. Cagliari are 10th.
