After a difficult few weeks both internally and on the pitch, Liverpool was keen to prove to its fans that the club was still going strong.
Yesterday they faced Brighton in the Premier League at Anfield. Against a tricky team that has defied the odds in recent years, the Reds did not falter.
Liverpool’s top scorer this season, Hugo Ekitiké, opened the scoring in the first minute of play with a superb strike, reassuring the fans early on in the match.
Both teams created a lot of chances during the game as Liverpool could have scored the 2nd goal earlier but at the same time Brighton could have equalized.
At the end it is Liverpool who ended the game in their favor as Hugo Ekitiké scored a brace at the 60′ minute.
With this win, Liverpool are now 6th in Premier League with 26 points, Brighton are 9th with 23 points.
