Casillas played 510 games for Real Madrid and was 19 when he started the 2000 Champions League final, then the youngest goalkeeper to do so. He came on as a substitute in the 2002 final and kept Leverkusen out in the closing minutes. As Spain’s captain he lifted Euro 2008, the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012, taking the Golden Glove in South Africa after stopping Arjen Robben one-on-one in the final. He won 167 caps.
