Peter Schmeichel won Euro 1992 with Denmark, a squad called up late after Yugoslavia’s exclusion from the tournament. Manchester United had signed him from Brøndby the previous year, and he made 292 appearances over eight seasons at Old Trafford. He won five Premier League titles and captained the team in the 1999 Champions League final, his last match for the club. He earned 129 caps for Denmark and scored nine goals across his club career.
