Roberto Carlos joined Real Madrid from Inter Milan in 1996 and stayed eleven years, making 370 appearances and scoring 47 goals. He won three Champions League titles and four La Liga titles there. His free kick against France in June 1997 swerved from outside the line of the wall and into the net. He won 125 caps for Brazil and played every minute of the 2002 World Cup run. He finished second in the 2002 Ballon d’Or.
