For the count of the 4th day of La Liga, Real Sociedad received Real Madrid. The Merengues won the game 2-1 but narrowly escaped.
Real Madrid launched perfectly well their game as Kylian Mbappe scored the first goal of the game (12′) thanks to a poor back pass from Mikel Goti (Real Sociedad). Unfortunately for them, their Danish recruit Dean Huijsen decided to complicate the game as he got ejected with a red card for a foul as the last defender (referee didn’t check the VAR as it was not clear if Dean Huijsen was the last defender or not).
Being outnumbered did not prevent Real Madrid to continue as Arda Guler scored the second goal for Real Madrid (44′) thanks to a brilliant team move with Kylian Mbappe.
During the second half, Real Sociedad started to create a lot of chances. Mikel Oyarzabal gave hope to Real Sociedad fans when he scored a penalty (56′) after a hand ball from Dani Carvajal. After the score was reduced to 1-2, Real Sociedad maintain their believes but were never able to equalize.
Real Madrid won the game 2-1 and are still leader of La Liga with 4 wins in as many games.
