- Chelsea 3-0 Wolverhampton : Gusto 51’, Joao Pedro 65’, Neto 73’
In a one-sided affair, Chelsea cruised past Wolves with a rather flattering scoreline. Gusto, João Pedro, and Neto found the net as the Blues climbed up to second place — at least until City and Liverpool play their games in hand.

Fresh off their derby win over Tottenham, Chelsea secured a second straight victory. The first half, however, was painfully dull. Lacking creativity and attacking edge, the Blues relied on endless crosses that failed to reach their targets. Delap was invisible, and João Pedro never got into shooting positions. Meanwhile, Wolves were well-organized defensively but offered little going forward as they await the official appointment of their new head coach, Rob Edwards.
Things changed drastically after halftime. Still persisting with their crossing game, the Blues finally found success — Garnacho’s delivery met Malo Gusto, who scored the first goal of his professional career. Freed by the breakthrough, Chelsea began to flow. The introduction of the electric Estevão added pace and flair, and it was his dribbling that set up João Pedro for his fourth goal of the season. Finally, Neto sealed the win against his former club, celebrating passionately in front of the Wolves supporters.
Chelsea may not always convince in style, but results are coming — and for now, that’s enough to sit second in the Premier League.
