Overview

The Luxembourg national football team represents the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in international association football. The national federation, the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Football, was founded in 1908, making it one of the older football associations in Europe. The team competes in UEFA competitions and has historically been regarded as a smaller nation within European football, though its performances have improved in recent decades.

Luxembourg has not won a major senior international title. The squad has nonetheless produced players who compete at professional club level across Europe. Among the current notable players are L. Fox, T. Kips, A. Moris, T. Pereira Cardoso, F. Bohnert, and D. Carlson.

The team plays its home matches in Luxembourg and has gradually become more competitive in UEFA Nations League and World Cup qualifying campaigns. Increased investment in youth development has contributed to a steadier standard of performance at international level in recent years.
