Bruges hold Barcelona in thrilling draw

In an absolutely wild encounter, Club Brugge and Barcelona played out a spectacular 3–3 draw — with the Belgians leading on three separate occasions. Tresoldi opened the scoring in the 6th minute, taking full advantage of Barcelona’s failed offside trap. Just two minutes later, Ferran Torres equalized to level things up. The tempo was electric, and Brugge punished the open spaces again through the lively Carlos Forbs to make it 2–1.

After halftime, young star Lamine Yamal brought Barcelona back into the game, but Forbs struck again to restore Brugge’s lead. Once more, Barça dug deep and forced another equalizer, but this time, Brugge couldn’t find the winner — with Vermant’s late goal ruled out for a foul. A breathtaking, end-to-end draw that had everything.

A blatant injustice at the Vélodrome. Marseille were denied what looked like a clear penalty after Ederson’s extended arm blocked the ball inside the box — an action that, by all logic, should have been punished. Instead, the referee refused to consult VAR, and moments later, Atalanta capitalized on the confusion to score the decisive goal, crushing OM’s hopes.

It’s now four games without a win in their last five since the October break — and a third straight Champions League defeat.

In Amsterdam, Victor Osimhen’s stunning hat-trick led Galatasaray to a statement victory over Ajax — one of only two clubs, alongside Benfica, to have lost all their group-stage matches so far. Benfica, despite wasting a flurry of chances, fell 0–1 to Bayer Leverkusen. Last season’s runners-up Inter had to fight hard to edge past Kairat Almaty, while competition newcomers Pafos celebrated their first-ever home win in the Champions League — a night to remember across Europe.
