A night to forget for Paris Saint-Germain in Lorient. The capital club were held by a brave Lorient side despite dominating the first half without converting their chances. When Luis Enrique’s men finally broke through, it seemed like the hard part was done — a cross from the right found Mendes at the far post, who finished on the rebound after Mvogo’s initial save. But just moments later, Brazilian midfielder Igor unleashed a thunderous strike that beat Lucas Chevalier and leveled the game.

To make matters worse for Paris, Désiré Doué was stretchered off with an injury that will likely keep him out for the entire month of November.

OM self destruct again… and again

A third consecutive match without a win for OM. With a golden opportunity to take the top spot from PSG, the Marseille side once again stumbled in the first half. Defensively fragile, OM allowed Angers too many chances — and it was the in-form Sidiki Cherif who punished them, heading home past Rulli to silence a rain-soaked Vélodrome.

After a second Angers goal was disallowed for offside, Marseille woke up. Youngster Robinio Vaz struck twice to seemingly snatch a dramatic victory, but Ousmane Camara equalized late on to steal a point for Angers. Another blow for OM, compounded by concerns over Bilal Nadir, who collapsed during the match.

From heaven to hell : OL parisian’s nightmare

Fifty-eight minutes of near-perfect football undone by a single moment — Abner’s red card. Lyon had taken the lead through Tolisso in the 5th minute after a long clearance from the goalkeeper, and Sulc extended the advantage to 3-0 early in the second half.

But everything changed after Abner’s dismissal. Despite a red card also shown to a Paris player, Lyon’s defensive reorganization fell apart. They conceded three goals and saw their lead vanish. A devastating missed chance to rejoin the leaders’ race.

Strasbourg bounce back

After their defeat at the Groupama Stadium, Strasbourg responded in style, cruising past Auxerre with a 3-0 win. It was an Argentine-inspired night: Panichelli scored his ninth goal of the season, Nanasi found the net thanks to a clever assist, and Valentin Barco sealed the victory.

Strasbourg now sit fourth in Ligue 1 with 19 points, once again showcasing their technical quality and adaptability. Their strong midfield structure allows them to control any type of game — making them a serious contender for a podium finish, or even more.

Monaco take the second spot

In a wild match between two shaky defenses, AS Monaco wore down Nantes in a thrilling 5-3 victory. Coulibaly’s early opener for Monaco was quickly canceled out by Guirassy, who later added a second to respond to Balogun’s goal for the visitors.

Monaco seemed set for a comfortable second half after strikes from Akliouche and Golovin, but Mohamed’s goal for Nantes reignited the suspense. In the end, Golovin’s second of the night sealed the win for Monaco at La Beaujoire.

This result lifts Monaco to second place in Ligue 1 — a much-needed boost after recent frustrations.
