The Albania W national team plays in FIFA and confederation competitions.
Overview
The Albania women's national football team represents Albania in international women's football and is governed by the Football Association of Albania. The team competes in UEFA qualifying competitions but has not won a major senior international title. Like many smaller European football associations, Albania's women's programme has developed gradually over the decades, operating with more limited resources than the leading nations in the continent.
The squad includes a number of players who have contributed consistently to the national setup. Among those who have featured for the team are K. Spaho, A. Hyska, R. Spahiu, V. Rexhepi, L. Dedgjonaj, and A. Curraj. These players form part of a relatively young and developing pool of talent within Albanian women's football.
The team faces considerable competition within UEFA qualifying rounds, where it is grouped alongside stronger European sides. Continued development at club level within Albania is widely regarded as important to the programme's long-term progress.
