The days when Metz were an easy target are long gone. Since their win against Lens in late October, Metz have played with ambition, trying to survive through bold football and forcing PSG to work hard.
- Metz 2-3 PSG : Deminguet 42’, Tsitaichvili 81’ – Ramos 31’ Ndjantou 39’, Doué 63’

Punished for their naivety, the daring Metz side conceded twice in quick succession. First from a corner in the 31st minute, then on a counterattack finished by Ndjantou in the 39th. Metz responded immediately to make it 1–2 with a superb goal from Deminguet. Metz continued to cause PSG problems, particularly through very high pressing that unsettled the midfield.
But Metz faded physically and lost clarity, especially on PSG’s third goal, when Doué was found in the heart of an empty defense. Metz pulled one back to make it 2–3, but the outcome was already decided.
PSG remain league leaders and can now head calmly toward the Intercontinental Cup, to be played on Wednesday, December 18, against Flamengo.
