Rijkaard scored the only goal of the 1990 European Cup final as AC Milan beat Benfica. He played 205 games in his first spell at Ajax and returned in 1993, winning the Champions League in 1995 against Milan in the last match of his playing career. He won Euro 1988 alongside Gullit and Van Basten, and took 73 caps for the Netherlands. He later coached Barcelona to the 2006 Champions League.
