Hugo Sánchez scored 97 goals for Pumas UNAM before Spanish clubs came for him. He spent four seasons at Atlético Madrid, then joined Real Madrid in 1985 and won five straight La Liga titles. His Real record reads 164 goals in 207 league games. He was the league’s top scorer five times and took the European Golden Shoe in 1989–90, a season of 38 goals. Mexico used him 58 times between 1977 and 1994.
