Overview

Georgia's national football team represents the country in international association football and is governed by the Georgian Football Federation, which was founded in 1990 following Georgian independence. The team competes in UEFA qualifying competitions and has participated in World Cup and European Championship qualifying campaigns over several decades without advancing to a major senior tournament final stage until recent years, when the squad began attracting broader attention through improved performances.

The squad draws players from domestic clubs and from leagues across Europe.
