The Kosovo national football team represents the Republic of Kosovo in international association football and is governed by the Football Federation of Kosovo, which was founded in 1946. FIFA and UEFA both admitted Kosovo as a full member in 2016, allowing the team to compete in World Cup and European Championship qualifying campaigns for the first time. Prior to full membership, Kosovo's players frequently represented other nations, particularly Albania and Switzerland.
The team has not won any major international titles. It competes in UEFA qualifying groups and has recorded notable results against more established European sides since gaining full membership. Several players in the squad have professional careers at club level across Europe.
