Czechia won the European Championship in 1976. The team was founded in 1901.

Overview

The Czechia national football team represents the Czech Republic in international competition and is governed by the Football Association of the Czech Republic, which was founded in 1901. The team's most significant honour came in 1976, when Czechoslovakia won the UEFA European Championship, defeating West Germany in the final on penalties. Following the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993, the Czech Republic emerged as a separate footballing nation and reached the final of UEFA Euro 1996, losing to Germany.

The current squad includes experienced goalkeeper Matej Kovar and forward Patrik Schick, who has been among the team's most prominent attacking players in recent years. Tomas Soucek, a central midfielder, serves as a key figure in the side. The squad also includes younger players such as Adam Hlozek and Robin Hranac, reflecting a generational transition within the group.

Czechia competes in UEFA Nations League fixtures alongside its World Cup and European Championship qualifying commitments.
