Overview
Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace is a French professional football club founded in 1906 and based in Strasbourg, in the Alsace region of northeastern France. The club competes in Ligue 1, the top division of French football, and plays its home matches at the Stade de la Meinau. Strasbourg won the French First Division title in 1979 and has also claimed the Coupe de France on multiple occasions, representing the most significant honours in its history.
The club has experienced periods in the lower divisions of French football but has returned to Ligue 1 in recent years, rebuilding its position among the established clubs of the top flight. Strasbourg draws strong support from the local Alsatian community, and the Stade de la Meinau has long served as the centre of that identity.
The current squad includes players such as Ben Chilwell, Guela Doué, and Ismaël Doukouré, among others contributing to the club's recent competitive campaigns.
