Overview

Gibraltar's national football team represents the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar in international association football. The Gibraltar Football Association was founded in 1895, making it one of the older football governing bodies in the region, though the national team spent many decades outside UEFA and FIFA membership. Gibraltar was admitted to UEFA in 2013 and subsequently to FIFA in 2016, which allowed the team to compete in official international competitions for the first time.

Since gaining membership, Gibraltar has participated in UEFA Nations League and European Championship qualifying campaigns. Results against established European nations have been difficult, reflecting the team's status as a developing football nation with a very small population base. The squad draws players from a limited pool, many of whom compete in the Gibraltar Premier Division or in lower divisions abroad.

Current players associated with the squad include B. Banda, Thomasjohn Chakraverty, J. Hankins, V. Huart, H. Victor, and L. Annesley. The team has not won major senior international titles.
