Milla scored four goals at the 1990 World Cup, at the age of 38, and celebrated each one at the corner flag. He scored again against Russia in 1994, at 42, the oldest goalscorer in the tournament’s history. He won the Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon in 1984 and 1988. He won the Coupe de France with Monaco in 1980 and Bastia in 1981. He was named African Footballer of the Year in 1976 and again in 1990.
