Romário scored 98 goals in 110 games for PSV Eindhoven and finished as the Eredivisie’s top scorer three seasons running. Barcelona signed him in 1993, and he won La Liga and the Pichichi in his first season there. He scored five times at the 1994 World Cup and took the Golden Ball as Brazil won it. FIFA named him World Player of the Year that December. He went home to Rio and kept scoring into his forties.
