Monaco 2-2 Manchester City
Jordan Teze 18′, Eric Dier 90′ (penalty) for Monaco. Erling Haaland 15′ and 44′ for Manchester City.

In the first matchday of UEFA Champions League, Monaco extensively lost 4-1 against Bruges while Manchester City won 2-0 against Napoli. Today both teams faced each other at Louis-II Stadium.
At the 14′ minute, the inevitable Erling Haaland scored the first goal of the game after a beautiful lob, beating Monaco’s keeper Philipp Kohn. But 4 minutes later, Monaco found the necessary resources to equalize thanks to a wonderful shot outside of the box from jordan Teze.
In the rest of the first half, Manchester City kept pushing with chances from Bernardo Silva and especially Phil Foden (hit the crossbar), but the Citizens were never able to score the 2-1 until the 44′ minute when Left Back Nico O’Reilly crossed to Erling Haaland who scored once again (his 11th goal of the season in 8 games).
Monaco had more opportunities in the second half than in the first one, but the Monegasques were terribly unlucky in the finishing. At the 88′ minute, they were given a penalty after a foul on Eric Dier. The British took charge on him. 2-2.
With this draw, Monaco climbs to the 30th place while Manchester City goes up to the 8th place.
