Overview

San Marino is one of the smallest sovereign states in the world, and its national football team reflects that scale. The national federation was established in 1931, and the team competes under UEFA in FIFA World Cup and European Championship qualifying campaigns. San Marino has not won a major senior international title, and the team regularly faces opponents ranked far above them in the FIFA standings. Despite this, the side continues to participate consistently in competitive football at the international level.
