What a game we witnessed at the Fußball Arena München. After their win in the first leg, Bayern did it again at the end of a chaotic night where Real Madrid long believed they could take center stage.

Just seconds into the match, one of the key takeaways from the first leg was already overturned: the incredible form of Manuel Neuer. From a simple buildup play, the German goalkeeper made a huge mistake, allowing Arda Güler to chip him for the Turkish player’s first-ever Champions League goal. However, Bayern responded quickly, equalizing through Pavlović. In just six minutes, there were as many twists as you’d expect in a full 90-minute match—and it was only the beginning.
Arda Güler was on fire and scored a stunning free kick that Neuer had no chance of stopping. Shortly after, Harry Kane brought Bayern level again at 2-2, before Kylian Mbappé restored Real Madrid’s lead.
Five goals in one half, played at a relentless pace—before Bayern set out to calm things down. With a very high defensive line, they left large spaces behind, which caused them problems at times, but they also settled into a more controlled, possession-heavy approach. After the fireworks of the first half, the game slowed down considerably.
That calm didn’t last long, though, as it was cut short by a moment of recklessness from Camavinga. Already on a yellow card, the Frenchman committed a foul and then held onto the ball instead of giving it back. The referee applied the rules and showed him a second yellow, reducing Real Madrid to ten men.
Moments later, Luis Díaz crushed Madrid’s hopes with a brilliant right-footed strike from the edge of the box. Michael Olise added the finishing touch, sealing Bayern’s victory over both legs.
