Unione Sportiva Cremonese is a professional football club based in Cremona, in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. The club was founded in 1903 and plays its home matches at the Stadio Giovanni Zini. For much of its existence Cremonese has competed in the lower divisions of Italian football, though the club has reached Serie A on several occasions, most notably spending a number of seasons in the top flight during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The club traditionally wears giallorossi colours, yellow and red, which are associated with the city of Cremona. Cremonese has historically served as a development ground for younger Italian talent and has at various times supplied players to larger clubs.
