Overview
Parma Calcio 1913 is a professional football club based in Parma, in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Founded in 1913, the club competes in Serie A, the top tier of Italian football, and plays its home matches at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. Parma experienced their most successful period during the 1990s, winning multiple domestic and European honours, including the UEFA Cup, the Copa Italia, and the UEFA Super Cup. Those years established the club among the more prominent sides in European football.
Financial difficulties led to relegation and a period of reconstruction in the following decades, including a restart from the lower divisions. The club has since worked its way back to Serie A. Current squad members include G. Daffara, A. Mazzocchi, F. Rinaldi, G. Astaldi, Gabriele Casentini, and E. Corvi. The yellow and blue colours of Parma remain recognisable across Italian football.
