Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, commonly known as Wolves, was founded in 1877 and is based in Wolverhampton, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football, and plays its home matches at Molineux Stadium. Wolves were among the most successful clubs in England during the 1950s, winning the First Division title on several occasions under manager Stan Cullis, and have also claimed the FA Cup multiple times across their history.
The club spent a number of years in the lower divisions before returning to the Premier League in 2018, following consecutive promotions. Since their return, Wolves have finished in the upper half of the Premier League table and reached the quarter-finals of European competition. Their traditional colours are old gold and black.
