Overview

The Serbia national football team represents Serbia in international association football and is governed by the Football Association of Serbia, which was founded in 1919. The team competes in UEFA competitions and has participated in several FIFA World Cup tournaments since Serbia began competing as an independent footballing nation following the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia in the early 1990s. The side plays its home matches predominantly at the Rajko Mitić Stadium in Belgrade.

Serbia has qualified for multiple major tournaments in recent decades, though the team has not won a senior international title. The squad has featured a number of players active across prominent European club competitions. Among the currently notable players are Vanja Milinković-Savić, Predrag Rajković, Filip Stanković, Đorđe Petrović, and others who have established themselves at senior club level in Europe.

The national team draws from a relatively compact but competitive domestic league structure, supplemented by many players based abroad.
