Gabriel Batistuta scored 168 goals for Fiorentina and stayed with the club through its 1993 relegation, returning to Serie A as Serie B champion. He was Italy’s leading scorer in 1994–95 and won the Coppa Italia in 1996. His transfer to Roma in 2000 delivered the Serie A title in his first season. For Argentina he scored 56 goals in 78 caps, including hat-tricks at both the 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
