Patrick Vieira joined Arsenal from AC Milan in 1996 after two league appearances in Italy. He won three Premier League titles and captained the unbeaten 2003–04 side. His final kick for the club was the winning penalty in the 2005 FA Cup shootout against Manchester United. He came on in the 1998 World Cup final and set up France’s third goal. Three Serie A titles followed at Inter Milan.
