Overview

Nigeria's national football team, known as the Super Eagles, is administered by the Nigeria Football Federation, which was founded in 1945. The team has won the Africa Cup of Nations three times, in 1980, 1994, and 2013, and claimed the Olympic gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games. Nigeria has qualified for the FIFA World Cup on multiple occasions and is one of the most consistently competitive sides on the African continent.

The current squad includes goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye, and Francis Uzoho, alongside outfield players such as Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Victor Osimhen, and Ademola Lookman. Samuel Chukwueze and Frank Onyeka are among the experienced players in the group.

Nigeria plays its home fixtures at various venues across the country. The team competes in the CAF qualifying structure and remains an active participant in both continental and global competition.
