Overview

The Jordan national football team represents the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in international association football and is governed by the Jordan Football Association, which was founded in 1949. The team competes within the Asian Football Confederation and has participated in multiple editions of the AFC Asian Cup, reaching the final of the 2023 tournament, which marked the furthest progression in the team's senior history. Jordan has not won a major senior international title.

The squad has drawn players from domestic clubs and from Jordanians competing abroad. Among the current notable players are Yazid Abu Layla, Abdallah Al Fakhouri, Noureddin Zaid, H. Abu Al Dahab, M. Abu Hasheesh, and M. Abualnadi. The team wears red as its traditional colour and is commonly referred to as the Nashama, an Arabic term meaning brave men.

Jordan's football development has been supported by growing investment in domestic infrastructure and youth programmes across recent decades.
