Overview

The Mali national football team represents Mali in international association football and is governed by the Fédération Malienne de Football, which was founded in 1960 following the country's independence. The team competes in the Africa Cup of Nations qualification and has reached the knockout stages of the tournament on several occasions, though it has not won a major senior international title. Mali is a member of the Confederation of African Football.

The squad has produced capable players across several generations. Among the current notable figures are Diadié Diarra, Ibrahima Diawara, Mamadou Samassa, and Oumar Camara, along with two players sharing the name N. Traore. These players contribute across a range of positions and represent clubs in various domestic and European leagues.
