Aston Villa is a professional football club founded in 1874 in Birmingham, England. One of the oldest clubs in the country, they compete in the Premier League and play their home matches at Villa Park. The club has won the Football League First Division title multiple times and claimed the European Cup in 1982, defeating Bayern Munich in the final. They have also won the League Cup on several occasions.

Villa Park has served as the club's home for well over a century and has hosted international fixtures as well as domestic cup semi-finals. The club's colours are claret and blue.

The current squad includes goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, who won the FIFA World Cup with Argentina in 2022, along with players such as Maty Ryan stand-in Marcel Bizot, Matty Cash, and several younger squad members including Lamare Bogarde and Sam Proctor.
